Michael Hunter

Michael Hunter is a Managing Director with TrueNorth Capital Partners LLC and is involved in the firm’s domestic and international investment banking activities. Michael employs a strong focus in originating and executing cross-border M&A transactions by-and-between North America and Japan. His experience in strategic-advisory assignments, includes buy-side and sell-side M&A assignments, joint ventures, minority investments, capital raising and valuations. With a strong focus in the healthcare industry, including healthcare staffing, senior living communities and private healthcare education, he has also executed transactions in the energy, industrial machining-and-manufacturing, food manufacturing-and-distribution and real estate arenas.

Michael formerly served as Senior Vice President with Carriage Hill, a boutique investment bank, focused on providing M&A expertise for privately-held, middle-market companies, as-well-as extensive buy-side representation for numerous private-equity groups.

Prior to Michael’s investment banking career, he developed large-scale, mixed-use real-estate projects of regional impact with The Lewis Companies (Upland, CA), Olson & Associates (Destin, FL) and Legendary, a resort real-estate developer (Destin, FL).

Michael is a member of the NY Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and a committee member of its International Committee, a member of Toastmasters International and a Pursuer for the East Windsor Society for the Detection of Horse Thieves and Robbers.

Michael graduated summa cum laude from Springfield College (the birthplace of basketball) with a degree in Business & Sports Management. A former high school and college basketball referee, he continues to enjoy competing and refereeing in local city leagues.
