Dave Reilly
David S. Reilly joined TrueNorth Capital Partners in January 2020 and has over thirty years of experience in investment banking within the healthcare/medical industry and has recently expanded his expertise into the home comfort/HVAC services industry. Dave has spent his entire career advising clients on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), divestitures, strategic alliances and equity and debt financings for growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations and management buyouts.
In healthcare, Dave has served as lead banker on many sell-side mandates, initiating and executing transactions for clients such as General Electric on the divestiture of its orthopedic implant manufacturing business to Oerlikon AG; Montefiore on its divestiture of a proprietary IT platform; Viasys Healthcare (formerly NYSE) on its divestiture of its vital signs monitoring business; several private equity-backed portfolio companies such as Allegiance Hospice on its sale to Sun Healthcare and Maetta Sciences on its sale to Flextronics; and many entrepreneur-founder and family-owned companies. On the buyside, Dave initiated and led the execution of several transformative transactions for Arcam AB (formerly NASDAQ OMX Stockholm), a leader in 3D printing technology for orthopedic and aerospace markets, and initiated and orchestrated a management buyout and recap financing for Beacon Hospice, the largest hospice in New England. Over three decades, Dave has represented many clients in a variety of healthcare sectors, including medical/dental technology, orthopedic devices, healthcare services, specialty pharmacy, CRO, diagnostics, HCIT and contract manufacturing of medical implants and instruments.
In the HVAC industry, Dave has served as lead buy-side M&A banker on the acquisition of several HVAC businesses for the leading residential HVAC player in Canada, and a US-based private equity-backed platform company formed to acquire and operate market-leading residential HVAC businesses.
Prior to joining TrueNorth, Dave spearheaded the healthcare practices of several M&A boutiques, including Viant Group and Cronus Partners, a firm he co-founded. Dave began his career at Smith Barney as a member of the Healthcare Group supporting the execution of initial and secondary public offerings, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions. David earned his MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BA from the University of Rochester and holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities licenses.
