Ian Holmes

Ian Holmes is a Managing Director at TrueNorth Capital Partners with over 20 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance.

Prior to joining TrueNorth, Ian led Finance teams at a series of sponsor-backed companies including SiriusDecisions (acquired by Forrester Research), TextIQ (acquired by Relativity), and Evisort (acquired by Workday Inc). Earlier in his career Ian was a member of leading investment banking boutiques Centerview Partners and Miller Buckfire. Ian earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BS from Lehigh University.

Throughout his career Ian has advised on over $60 billion of transactions spanning M&A, capital raising, and financial restructuring. Ian has advised clients across several sectors, including Technology & Tech-Enabled Services, Business & Industrial Services, Automotive & Transportation, Power & Energy, and Gaming & Real Estate. In addition, Ian’s experience as an operator provides unique value-added perspectives; having held operational responsibility for strategic transaction readiness and having led several successful exits.
