John Quirk
John J. Quirk is a Senior Advisor at TrueNorth Capital Partners and has over thirty years of experience in investment banking within the environmental services industry. John has advised clients on mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side) as well as raising equity and arranging debt financing. The environmental services sector includes companies in industrial and hazardous waste, solid waste, construction and demolition waste, waste transportation, medical waste, energy waste, water equipment and recycling.
After receiving his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, John worked in the financial area at two publicly traded conglomerates (W.R. Grace and City Investing Company). John then co-founded and was chairman of an investment bank that eventually focused on environmental services companies with many of its initial clients being solid waste collection, disposal and waste transportation companies.
John has been a principal at two private equity funds (the Environmental Opportunities Fund and the Churchill Environmental and Equity Partners Fund) that invested in lower middle market environmental firms in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining TrueNorth Capital Partners John had been a Managing Director at Morgan Joseph and a Partner at Cronus Partners.
John earned an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a BA from Georgetown University and holds Series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses.
