Rob Africk

Robert D. Africk is a Managing Director of TrueNorth Capital Partners LLC involved in mergers and acquisitions, private capital raising and strategic advisory assignments, both domestically and internationally, for early stage, growth and mature clients. During his 35-year career, Rob has served as lead investment banker and financial advisor to U.S. and international clients, having completed a broad range of M&A and public and private capital raising transactions valued in excess of $40 billion. While a generalist, Rob has particular expertise in the energy, financial services, federal contracting, media, consumer products and industrial sectors.

Prior to joining TrueNorth, Rob was a Managing Director at Westbury Group, a boutique investment bank. Prior to Westbury Group, he provided corporate finance advisory services as a consultant to a broad range of public and private companies. Previously, Rob was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Jesup & Lamont Securities. Prior to his affiliation with Jesup & Lamont Securities, Rob founded The Imprimis Group, a boutique investment bank focused on M&A and private placements. Rob was previously a Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking and Syndicate at Blaylock & Partners, a full service, institutionally-oriented investment banking boutique. At Blaylock, he served on the Firm’s Operating Committee, Capital Commitment Committee and Risk Management Committee. Prior to Blaylock, Rob served as Head of the Oil and Gas Group at Fieldstone, a project finance boutique. Prior to joining Fieldstone, he spent 11 years at Prudential Securities Incorporated in the Energy Investment Banking Group, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Energy M&A. As a calling officer, Rob had lead relationship responsibility for new business development and execution of all corporate finance transactions. He was also a member of the Firm’s Fairness Opinion Committee, for which he reviewed numerous M&A transactions in the energy, real estate, technology, consumer, health care, media and telecom and financial services industries. Prior to working at Prudential Securities, Rob spent eight years at Exxon Corporation, including serving as Assistant Treasurer of Exxon’s funding arm.

Rob holds Series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses, is a graduate of Bucknell University and received his MBA from New York University.
