TrueNorth Announces Promotion
Norwalk, Connecticut January, 2011 – TrueNorth Capital Partners LLC formally announced that effective January 1st, David Meranze has been appointed a Managing Director. Mr. Meranze is involved in expanding TrueNorth’s reach into East and Southeast Asia, capitalizing on over 15 years of international finance experience working in those regions. His knowledge and experience cover investment banking, business development, strategic planning, business assessment, technical and financial analysis, financial modeling, legal, venture capital and start-ups.
Mr. Meranze joined TrueNorth Capital Partners LLC as a Director in January 2010. Since that time, Mr. Meranze has spent close to half of his time travelling throughout Asia on TrueNorth’s behalf. “We are very excited to have elevated David to this well deserved position. He has proven to be a real asset to the firm” commented Fred Rossetti, Managing Director. Prior to joining TrueNorth, David worked as an investment banker in New York and Hong Kong for Prudential Securities. In addition, Mr. Meranze co-founded and sold an Asian based incubator and investment company, headed the Mid-West office in Chicago for InvestHK, the investment arm of the Hong Kong government, and was the Managing Director-Asia for a debt management company. Mr. Meranze is a graduate from Yale University, where he received his BA in East Asian Studies and also DePaul College of Law, where he received his JD. He spent two years studying at Beijing University and Beijing Language Institute, in China and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
