Stamford, CT, January 2020: TrueNorth Capital Partners LLC is pleased to announce that Thomas A. DiVincent has joined the firm as Executive Advisor Life Sciences. In this new role Tom will have responsibility for the expansion of TrueNorth’s industry presence and capabilities in the Life Sciences space to include ethical pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, consumer pharmaceuticals “OTC”, nutraceuticals and related areas.

Tom will seek to leverage his industry experience and relationships gained over 17 years at Merck & Co. Inc. where he served as Executive Director Corporate Development and, subsequently, as Head of Worldwide Human Health Business Development. He will focus his efforts on origination and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, financings, joint ventures and other strategic business arrangements serving to enhance growth and shareholder value for his clients.

More broadly, Tom brings to TrueNorth over 40 years of diversified experience gained in consulting, merchant banking and corporate business development. In addition to his tenure at Merck & Co., Tom’s resume includes financial and transactional consulting as Founder/Principal of High Mountain Advisors LLC and as a Manager at Price Waterhouse (now PwC). He also served as Director of Corporate Development for American Cyanamid Company, a conglomerate with diversified businesses including chemicals, medical devices, generic pharmaceuticals and branded consumer products. As Vice President/Division Head at Bankers Trust he was responsible for managing worldwide merchant banking relationships with multinational companies to include buy and sell-side M&A, recapitalizations and acquisition finance.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. Peter’s University and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth.
